Ultium® Battery Platform
Most of the specifics of the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ haven’t yet been released. However, it’s expected to utilize the proven General Motors Ultium® Battery Platform, which helps to give vehicles a nearly 50/50 weight distribution and low center of gravity. Besides offering excellent handling, this innovative system will help position Cadillac as a leader in vehicle electrification.
Cadillac EV Lineup
The diverse Cadillac lineup already includes three all-electric vehicles. It started with the Cadillac LYRIQ, which is a midsize SUV. Then, it added the full-size Cadillac Escalade IQ and the Cadillac CELESTIQ hatchback. The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ will be the next to join the lineup, followed by the midsize 2026 Cadillac VISTIQ.

Cadillac aims to be all-electric by 2030. With its goal towards an all-electric future, Cadillac is prioritizing sustainability. That includes product design, engineering, manufacturing processes, operations, and more. In accordance with that goal, Cadillac promises 100 percent renewable energy in U.S. operations by 2025 and globally by 2035 and that 100 percent of new Cadillac models introduced in the U.S. will be all-electric by the end of the decade.
